About Wanderlust Creamery

Artisanal ice cream inspired by travel, with a destination in every scoop. Each flavor is crafted by food scientist Adrienne Borlongan. Cult favorite flavors include a Thai-inspired Sticky Rice and Mango (which is unintentionally vegan), a Japanese Neapolitan that combines matcha, hojicha, & black sesame, as well as Ube Malted Crunch - a playful take on the ubiquitous Filipino purple yam flavor. The menu is ever-rotating, with seasonal options such as Sakura (cherry blossom), Breakfast at CafΓ© du Monde (chicory coffee with beignets), Havana-inspired Tobacco Chocolate, Toast + Kaya Jam, and Brazilian Passionfruit Cacao making cameos on the menu.

American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Venice is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Venice follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Are the owners Filipino? Because they absolutely perfected the ube ice cream! The flavor was rich, creamy, and unmistakably ube… not artificial or overly sweet. We also tried the mango sticky rice, and wow, it was equally impressive. The mango flavor paired beautifully with the creamy ice cream and sticky-rice elements. Whatever they are doing with their recipes, it is seriously the bomb. The flavors are creative and inspired by different parts of the world, but they still taste authentic and thoughtfully made. And oh, google just said β€œWanderlust Creamery is Filipino-founded,” and boy and you can really feel that Filipino influence in some of its most memorable flavors. This is not your typical ice cream shop. Every scoop feels like an experience, and the flavor selection makes you want to keep coming back to try more. The ube and mango sticky rice are definitely must-tries. Highly recommended!

Hailey, my waitress was so kind, informative and friendly. They have the right girl for the job.About the Ice Cream, I just read a article in the paper about the best 15 ice cream shops in Los Angeles, this place is listed, for a very good reason, it deserves to be on this list, it's that good. Fresh new flavors, like lilikoi pineapple and passionfruit, has to be the best I've ever had. I can foresee this place being in the top 3, just needs a little bit more flavors to compete. I wish you all the fortune you deserve, thank you for being in Venice Beach, we deserve you as well. Skipper

Wow amazing and creative flavors. The Mango Sticky Rice flavor was really good and did a surprisingly good job at replicating the flavor of mango sticky rice. The passionfruit flavor was also very good. Not to mention both of these flavors are vegan. Probably the best vegan icecream I’ve had.

We’ve been to Wanderlust Creamery in Venice several times nowβ€”it’s right next to Floyd’s on Lincolnβ€”and it never disappoints. Every visit feels like a small adventure because the flavors are so unique and constantly rotating. You won’t find your standard vanilla-chocolate options here. This time, we tried something new again (as we always do), and it was as inventive and delicious as ever. The place has been around for a while and has a fun, relaxed vibe that fits right into Venice. If you’re into ice cream that’s a little out of the ordinaryβ€”think globally inspired flavors done really wellβ€”it’s definitely worth the stop.
